My View of the End Times

The Bible is filled with prophecies about the end of the world. If someone wants to gather a large crowd or sell a lot of books, speaking on or writing about the topic of end time prophecy is a tried and true way of accomplishing those goals. Many rabbis, pastors, and teachers have specialized in studying and teaching from books like Ezekiel, Daniel, and Revelation hosting seminars and prophecy conferences.

I have been a believer in Yeshua (Jesus) for more than 40 years, so I have heard prophecies concerning the rapture from the position of Pre-Trib, Mid-Trib, and Post-Trib all with unwavering confidence that the teacher was correct in their interpretation of texts used. I have watched as a preacher explained his interpretation of eschatology with such emotion and fervor that his congregation, filled with fear, ran to the altar in repentance pleading for G-D’s mercy and grace. I have listened to conjecture about who the Anti-Messiah and The Beast would be with suggestions from British Royalty to super computer systems. I have experienced the progression as new Babylons arose, as nations of influence rise and fall. In the United States, I have heard those who have proclaimed each of the past five Presidential Candidates as the Anti-Messiah, and with each new advancement in Technology, a brand new theory for the Mark of the Beast is born, from scan codes on groceries, to ATM cards, and from cell phones to the internet. Who will ever forget all of the prophets and prophecies that came and left with the covid pandemic?

These preachers of gloom and doom share what they believe the Bible says about the end of days and a coming one-world government system. Years ago, that one-world system was the UN, then it became communism under Soviet control. More recently with the rise of Iran and the growing Islamic caliphate, many prophecy teachers’ eyes have now been turned to the Middle East.

Each of these theories on end time prophecies come and go based upon political turmoil and the rise and fall of governmental bodies and political leaders. Each of these prognostications were presented as hard fact, and all too often swallowed hook, line, and sinker by thousands, if not millions, of Bible believers.

With so many teachers sharing their views, thoughts, and interpretations of the end times, I thought I would share my views. Not in the hopes of gathering a larger crowd at my synagogue. Not in order to be invited to travel the world teaching in prophecy conferences, and not in order to write a book that will sell millions of copies. But, simply to help people understand the end times from the view of a believer in Yeshua as the Messiah.

I believe that before our eyes, we are seeing the rise of a leader who will rule the world. This leader will attract the attention and following of people from every nation and will form a government that will control every aspect of the lives of every person living on the earth. This leader will command the servitude and subjugation of all mankind. People from every nation will look to this man as their Messiah, and to validate his power, there will be signs and wonders, and all of those who oppose him will be given the choice to serve him or die.

For those who study Biblical prophecy, it would be impossible to look at the current state of affairs globally - with wars and rumors of wars, natural disasters, pestilence and pandemics - and not watch for the rise of a global leader who would step into power and fulfill the prophecies we have all read and heard about for so many years. As we have all heard proclaimed over and over, we have never been closer to the end than we are today.

However, as I share my view of end time prophecy today, I want to make it clear that I believe my interpretation is 100% accurate. I believe that the predominant views of end time prophecy is skewed and misdirected. I absolutely believe that we are seeing the rise of a one world government and one world leader. I just believe that most teachers are focusing on the wrong government and leader. You see, the one prophetic end time leader we should be sharing about isn’t the anti-Messiah; it should be the Messiah. We shouldn’t be focusing and teaching people about the rise of an evil government which will rule the world. We should be sharing and teaching about Messiah ruling and reigning from Jerusalem.

We have been deceived into focusing our attention on evil instead of good, on the imitation instead of the genuine. Prophecy teachers are instilling fear of the Anti-Messiah into the hearts of believers, instead of the Fear of the Lord. We should not fear the end time; we should not fear the rise of a world leader; we should not fear a one-world government. We should long for it - not the leader or government most prophecy teachers spend all their time on, but our Messiah, The One World Leader, Yeshua, who is being proclaimed more and more every day, and a one-world government, His Kingdom.

In closing, it is time for us to change our view of the end time. Yes, every prophecy spoken by our prophets will come to pass. But, we are not commanded to watch for the Anti-Messiah, we are commanded to watch for Yeshua. So, my view of the end times is the view I see when I look into the Eastern sky.
